Project Name: Together We are Stronger in Digital World

 The main goal of this project is social inclusion of the elderly in the modern digital society.

The specific goal is to increase the percentage of elderly people for digital literacy through the implementation of activities for the acquisition and improvement of basic digital skills by trained mentors. This, will contribute to the social integration of the elderly in the digital society and their active aging.

Project activities:

A1. Preparatory activities

A2. Training of mentors to work with retired persons

A3. Implementation of the Digital Legacy Program for the elderly and Cyber Security Modules

A4. Organization and implementation of 8 competitions on digital skills for the retired persons

A5. Monitoring and reporting of the activities

A6. Promotion of the activities

 

Project results:

R1. 8 youth volunteers trained as mentors for working with elderly

R2. 160 retired people acquired basic digital skills and knowledge on how to be safe on the internet. They use information technology more often to obtain information about services and to participate in community and social life

R3. Prepared materials for the training of mentors

R4. Implemented training for mentors

R5. Prepared plan and materials for the implementation of trainings for the elderly

R6. Implemented the Digital Literacy Program and Cyber Security Modules for elderly, retired persons who visit Clubs of Pensioners in 8 municipalities in Republic of Macedonia

R7. The public is informed about the course of implementation of the project activities through social  media posts

R8. Prepared materials for the competitions

R9. Implemented competitions for the retired
